Dear SRFF friend,
They say time flies when you're having fun. We say it was a lot of hard work, but the joy and satisfaction of bringing Socially Relevant™ film content and human interest stories to a wider audience, outweighed the pain and challenges encountered during the organization of such an important event as the SR Socially Relevant™ Film Festival NY.
Our ninth edition, a hybrid event, has been a huge success after two years of online presence only. In nine years, we've brought you and moviegoers like you more than 600 films from 40 countries. SRFF continues to shine the spotlight on social issues; climate change, legitimized racism, homophobia, ageism and sexism, disability, women, family values, immigration, LGBTQ, health issues and confinement.
March 15, 2023 marks the launch of our special 10th anniversary edition.
We hope to expand to 10 locations to cover a much wider ground and bring the festival to different communities. Each screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker. We would like to invite again many filmmakers that we have programmed over the years.
